Abbiamo sostituito la lotta per la libertà con la continua censura per non ferire la sensibilità altrui, uccidendo così la nostra essenza. In questa collezione, la mia intenzione era quella di fare un’ ode a tutto ciò che non dovrebbe essere detto o fatto, una contro-reazione all’ipocrisia della protezione. La ribellione è cambiata, non è più una lotta per un’idea, ma per difendere tutte le idee. E’ molto “bello”, ma l’evoluzione è a rischio, i ribelli erano coloro i quali producevano il cambiamento. Io voglio difendere la bellezza dell’irriverente, l’idea della rabbia della gioventù, che è piena di ira e di una mezza assurda ironia.

Fra tutte queste ribellioni irriverenti, potremmo dire che il punk è un grande riferimento. Ma a essere onesti, non “mi frega un cazzo” del punk come ci è stato venduto, il punk inglese è diventato un prodotto in cui l’individualità è stata smarrita per fare uniformi da guerriglia. Il punk è nato nel CBGB, è nato negli Stati Uniti, dove gruppi di disadattati, conigliette di Playboy, appassionati di musica, alcol e droghe o inclassificabili, si sono incontrati per creare qualcosa di diverso. I gruppi punk sono punk perché non si sapeva cosa fossero, potrebbero essere stati classificati in un sottogenere, ma ognuno era un mondo prima che fossero un tutt’uno.
Blondie, Patty Smith o The Runaways, ognuno di loro aveva un’estetica o un intento diverso, ribelli a proprio modo sono largamente stati I miei riferimenti: le sexy barbie, lo stile mascolino o la mancanza di vergogna.

Le t-shirt sono sempre state un riflesso del rock, il merchandising dei gruppi o un’opzione facile per mandare un messaggio a chiunque ti guardi, e questo è il motivo per cui sono un riferimento per la mia collezione, così come l’idea di esporre l’intimo, sempre un’idea di cattivo gusto nella misura in cui non si sia dei supereroi, ma per il mio anti-eroe ciò non è un problema. Il corsetto è sempre stato una costrizione, così come misurare le proprie parole ogni volta che si parla, da qui l’idea di tirarle fuori e aprire, liberare ciò che deve essere liberato.

Abbiamo tutti avuto un giorno in cui il dito medio era la risposta a tutto, un riflesso di quello che si pensa o si sente veramente, ma in un modo leggermente maleducato. Questo è il motivo per cui volevo giocare con l’idea di trasformare ciò in un tessuto che a primo sguardo sembra un tessuto classico ma in realtà ti sta dicendo di “andare a farti fottere”.La classica rete punk non è una rete, ma una grata che ci blocca, ma invece di romperla io la utilizzo per difendere me stessa, inserendo parole “inappropriate” per quelli che ci censurano. Ridefinendo la modalità punk aggressiva con il ricamo e il drappeggio del tessuto al taglio laser, sono arrivata all’idea di forme che sembrano soffici ma in realtà sono appuntite, una ironica dualità come la censura per la libertà.

Così, INCORRECTA, è in qualche modo il risultato mimetizzato di un’irriverenza che pretende di dire “vaffanculo” scusa se ho ferito I tuoi sentimenti, ma non me ne frega un cazzo.

That is why I wanted to play with the idea of turning it into a fabric that at first glance looks like a classic fabric but is actually “telling you to go to hell”. The classic punk net is not a net, but a grating that blocks us, but instead of breaking it I use it to defend myself, inserting “inappropriate” words from those who censor us. Redefining the aggressive punk mode, with the embroidery and draping of the laser cut fabric I have come up with the idea of shapes that look fluffy but are actually pointed, an ironic duality as censure for freedom.

Thus, INCORRECTA, it is the somewhat camouflaged result of an irreverence that pretends to say “fuck you” sorry if I have hurt your feelings, but I don’t give a fuck.
