“Sylvie Folies” trae la sua ispirazione dalle Folies-Bergère, una forma di spettacolo d’evasione nato al fine dell’ottocento come teatro di varietà. Lo scopo di questo spettacolo era distrarre l’osservatore dalla sua quotidiana realtà, di divertire! Non si parla di denunce politiche e sociali ma di libertà, intesa come libertà di espressione , sul palco e fuori da questo. Le folies bergère non sono altro che il primo boccone di una forma d’arte performativa che si è poi sviluppata con gran chiasso in
Europa dalle prime decadi Novecentesche tradotta nei così detti “spettacoli minori”,costruiti come una sequaneza di numeri vari; dal cabaret agli spettacoli di rivista o varietà , in ultimo l’avanspettacolo Italiano.
Gli autori del varietà hanno una sola ragione di essere: quella di inventare incessantemente nuovi elementi di stupore, seguendo il diletto dell’improvvisazione e delle sregolatezze. La moda, per quanto ciclica, rincorre lo stesso scopo. La moda,
quella da me intesea, ama l’arte del paradosso e rincorre l’ronia poiché ritengo che sia l’unico modo per “ fare moda e riuscire
a disfarla”. “Sylvie Folies” è una collezione femminile dove la femminilità trae spunto dai personaggi del varietà, uomini e donne, canzonettiere e comici.
I colori utilizzati sono caldi e cangianti, le fantasie sono il vero “varietà” tradotte con leggerezza nei “check a pois “e nel “quadrettato” dei completi; con invece curiosità nel disegno dello jacquard e della stampa intitolato “viaggio sospeso in un tempo immaginario”. Volumi vaporosi e rotondi si succedono alla semplicità della linea trapezio arricchita dalle lavorazioni.
I tessuti adoperati si alternano tra gazar e organze di seta cangiati con la preziosità dello jacuqard,una catena in seta tramata con filo metallicco con l’aggiuta di lurex nella riproduzione del disegno. La collezione vuole trasmettere un’idea di gioco e di leggerezza, è un invito ad affrontare la realtà con apparente irriverenza e vuole ricordare che se non ci si
diverte a far ciò che si ama,non può uscirne niente di buono. Solo uno spirito libero è in grado di creare.
“Sylvie Folies” descrive parte del mio animo teatrale, infantile ed impertinente,mai sazio di cercare novità. L’alta moda è il mezzo ed il fine ultimo di questa ricerca fatta da amore, sogno ed illusoria realtà.

“Sylvie Folies” is ispired by “Les Folies-Bergère”, a form of escape show born at the end of the nineteenth century as a variety theater. The purpose of this show was to distract
the observer from his daily reality,is to entertain! There is no talk of political and social denunciations but is about
freedom, understood as freedom of expression, on and off the stage. The folies bergère are nothing more than the beginning of a performative art which developed with great noise in
Europe from the first decades of the twentieth century,translated into the so called “minor shows”, builted as a sequence of various numbers; from cabaret to magazine or variety shows, lastly the Italian “avanspettacolo”.
The authors of the variety have only one reason for being: constantly inventing new elements of amazement, following the delight of improvisation and irregularities. Fashion, always cyclical, pursues the same aim. My kind of fashion loves the art of paradox and chases irony because I believe it’s the only way to “make fashion and undo it”.
“Sylvie Folies” is a women’s collection where femininity is inspired by the characters of variety, men and women, songwriters and comedians. The colors used are warm and iridescent, the patterns are the real “variety” translated
lightly in the “check with polka dots” and in the “checkered ” of the suits; translated instead with curiosity in the drawing of the jacquard and print entitled “journey suspended in an imaginary time”.
Vapor and round volumes follow the simplicity of the trapezoid line enriched by the workmanship.
The fabrics used are alternate between gazar and silk irridescetnt organza with the preciousness of the jacuqard, a silk warp woven with metallic thread with the addition of lurex in the reproduction of the drawing. The collection wants to convey an idea of play and lightness, it is an invitation to face reality with apparent irreverence and wants to remind that if you don’t enjoy doing what you love, nothing good can come of it.
Only a free spirit can create.
“Sylvie Folies” describes part of my theatrical, childish, sensitive and impertinent soul, never satisfied with seeking of novelty. High fashion is the means and the ultimate aim of this research made by love, dreams and illusory reality.
