Acqua contro elettricità.

Q
uando ho iniziato il progetto stavo pensando alla nostra generazione e a ciò che è importante oggi. L’acqua era un tema che volevo sviluppare e di cui volevo parlare. È l’inizio, la vita, ma anche una risorsa di cui abbiamo bisogno costantemente, distrutta oggi dai risultati inquinanti della nostra vita. Il contrasto tra una fonte di energia in costante evoluzione, che è anche la “casa” di milioni di specie con un sacco di capacità meravigliose di cui solo una piccola parte è conosciuta e la distruzione della civiltà dall’inquinamento o la siccità causata dalla nostra industria o anche il nostro consumo di soda, questo è importante per me. In alcuni casi, l’acqua può essere un segno distintivo per una parte estremista (l’onda), e anche essere la piattaforma di un enorme problema oggi, la migrazione. Con tutte queste situazioni volevo concentrarmi di più sulla natura spettacolare e su come può adattarsi in situazioni pericolose ma sempre con fascino e bellezza. Poi l’idea delle micro-alghe viene naturalmente nella mia mente. Queste specie sviluppano la capacità di creare bioluminescenza con una reazione chimica quando si sentono in pericolo. È una reazione positiva per i nostri occhi per un motivo negativo.

Poi la seconda tematica mi attrae. Mi chiedevo: se l’inizio della vita generale è l’acqua, qual è l’inizio della mia vita? Qual è l’elemento che ho sempre conosciuto, è costantemente intorno a me, e definisce la mia generazione oggi? L’elettricità. È anche una fonte di vita quando pensiamo ai bambini nati prematuramente, le macchine li aiutano a vivere e quindi a respirare senza aiuto. È anche, e lo vediamo oggi, la prima fonte di energia di cui abbiamo bisogno per crescere, vivere e comunicare tra di noi. La mia generazione è nata con il digitale, tutta la nostra vita oggi è girata in digitale e sappiamo che questo è in costante aumento. Ma come al solito, ci sono anche molti casi diversi. Abbiamo l’elettricità che ha distrutto la natura se si guarda come viene prodotta e in alcuni casi l’uomo (ma se distruggi la natura ti uccidi automaticamente). Ma c’è anche la combinazione con la riflessione umana e la natura, con le nuove fonti di energia che sono “bio” e producono con la natura. Anche in questo caso il contrasto è interessante.

Water versus electricity .

hen I start the project I was thinking about our generation and what’s matter today. The water was a theme I wanted to develop and talk about. That’s the beginning, the life, but also a resource we need constantly, destroyed today by the polluting results of our life. The contrast between a source of energy in constant evolution, which is also the « house » of millions of species with a lot of Wonderfull capacity of which only a small part is known and the destruction of civilization by the pollution or drought caused by our industry or even our consummation of soda, that’s matter to me. In some cases, the water can be a distinctive sign for an extremist side ( l’onda ), and also be the platform of a huge problematic today, migration. With all those situations I wanted to focus more on the spectacular nature and how she can adapt herself in dangerous situations but always with charm & beauty. Then the idea of the micro-algae comes naturally in my mind. Those species develop the capacity to create bioluminescence with a chemical reaction when they feel in danger. It’s a Positive reaction for our eyes for a negative reason.

Then the second thematic appeals to me. I was asking myself; If the beginning of general life is the water, what is the beginning of my life? What’s the element I always knew, is constantly around me, and define my generation today? Electricity. It’s also a source of life when we think about the prematurely born babies, the machines help those to live and then breathe without help. It’s also, and we can see that today, the first source of energy we need to grow, live, and communicate with each others. My generation is born with digital, all our life today is turned in digital and we know that this is constantly increasing. But as usual, there are also many different cases. We have the electricity that destroyed nature when you look at how it is produced and in some cases human ( but if you destroy nature you kill yourself automatically ). But there is also the combination with human reflection and nature, with the new sources of energy which are « bio » and produce with nature. In this case, the contrast is also interesting.
