La pellicola “The Dreamers” e l’estetica “Dark Academia” hanno dato inizio allo sviluppo della collezione.
I tre protagonisti Isabelle, Théo e Matthew sono alla ricerca di quella “dimensione fatata” per fuggire dalla realtà “che ti muore fra le mani” e il ricordo del passato che è il tema della Dark Academia sulla quale si basa l’immaginario del mondo college.
L’idea di questa collezione è nata anche grazie ad una videolezione in quarantena, osservando come i ragazzi liberi da convenzioni indossassero capi che li rappresentassero nel loro “spazio privato”, la propria camera.
Immaginando come sarebbe stato il ritorno a scuola questa collezione mette insieme vari elementi come la divisa scolastica, rivisitata attraverso la lavorazione del ricamo sui blazer maschili e tessuti, come paillettes e tulle, che si distaccano dal mondo preppy.
I volumi e i colori sono enfatizzati per conferire agli outfit l’idea di libertà anche in un mondo fatto di regole come quello della “High school”.
The film “The Dreamers” and the aesthetic “Dark Academia” started the development of the collection.
The three main characters, Isabelle, Théo and Matthew are looking for that “fairy dimension” to escape from a reality that “dies in your hands”, and the memory of the past, that is the main theme of the Dark Academia on which the imagination of the world of college is based.
The idea of this collection was born thanks to a video lesson in quarantine, observing how boys tend to wear clothes free from conventions, that are the true representation of themselves, only in their “private spaces”, like their own room.
Wondering what would have been like returning to school, this collection brings together various elements such as the school uniform, revisited through the embroidery on men’s blazer and fabrics, such as sequins and tulle, detached from the preppy word.
The volumes and colours are emphasized to give the outfits the idea of freedom even in a world of rules, like the one of “High school”.
