Abotonada

Abotonada è una collezione femminile di borse e scarpe. La collezione è informata per seguire i principi del progetto Hand in Hand lanciato da Fendi nel 2021, in cui l’artigianato regionale italiano era al centro del progetto.
Nel mio caso ho deciso di scegliere come artigianato i bottoni fatti a mano del costume regionale dell’isola della Palma.
Questi bottoni che originariamente hanno una dimensione di circa 1 cm e sono realizzati in cotone, li sviluppo in diverse dimensioni e utilizzando diversi materiali come lana e cordoncini di pelle.
In termini di materiali ho utilizzato nappa per borse e scarpe e pellami pregiati come cocco e struzzo. E in termini di colori nero, avorio, magenta e blu dove veniva utilizzato il principale.
Per le borse ho preso ispirazione in termini di volumi dal coprisedile utilizzato nelle auto. Giocare con i volumi e l’idea di una silhouette morbida e dura da costruire.
Per le scarpe la fonte di ispirazione per la tomaia era l’artigianato utilizzato per costruire le Abarcas, una scarpa tradizionale creata nel paese di Vasque che utilizzava una tecnica di corsa. Sono stati creati giocando con la tomaia en forma.
Abotonada is a women collection of bags and shoes. The collection is briefed to follow the principals of the project Hand in Hand launch by Fendi in 2021, in wich regional Italian craftsmanship where at the core of the project.
In my case I decided to chose as a craftsmanship the hand made buttons of the regional costume of the island of La Palma.
This buttons that originally have a size of around 1cm and are made by cotton, i develop them in different size and using different materials such as wool, and leather cords.
In therms of materials i used nappa for bags and shoes and luxurious leathers such as cocco and ostrich. And in terms of colours black, ivory, magenta and blue where the main one used.
For the bags I got inspiration in terms of volumes by the seat cover used in the cars. Playing with volumes and the idea of soft and hard to build the silhouette.
For the shoes the font of inspiration for silhouettes was a the craft used to build the Abarcas, a traditional shoe creates in the Vasque country that used a rushing technique. They were created by playing with the rushing in the shoe last coming up with different ideas.
