L'appartenenza (a chi…appartin?)
Il progetto prende spunto dalla mia famiglia, dalle origini dei rapporti di parentela fino ad arrivare alla terra nella sua fisicità, la Puglia.
Particolare interesse ha destato in me il territorio da cui provengo, il Tavoliere delle Puglie e il Gargano, una zona di questa lunga e magnifica regione ricca di storia, folclore, bellezza e poco conosciuta.
In questo anno di lavoro, lontana dagli affetti e intenta a perseguire il mio sogno, ho sentito il forte legame che mi unisce ad essa, la mia appartenenza a quei colori, profumi, sapori che non ritrovo in nessun altro luogo.
Sono queste le caratteristiche che ho voluto infondere ai prodotti, inserendo come «filo conduttore» il fico, un frutto che racchiude un intero mondo, che nella mia memoria rimanda ai lunghi pranzi al mare, al piacere del cibo, ai colori vivaci e intesi che folgorano gli occhi.
Da qui scaturisce la scelta di accostarlo a prodotti dalla struttura «massiccia», apparentemente rudi e in contrasto, che acquistano, grazie alla sovrapposizione della volubile trama interna del fico, una sensualità e un aspetto totalmente nuovi, un perfetto connubio tra la ricercatezza della moda di oggi e la tradizione.
La collezione è composta da scarpe e borse, a cui si unisce un inedito accessorio: una cintura Obi, un omaggio alle donne di campagna e ai loro grembiuli.
The project takes its cue from my family, from the origins of kinship relations to the land in its physicality, Apulia.
Particular interest has aroused in me the area where I come from, the Tavoliere delle Puglie and the Gargano, an area of this long and magnificent region rich in history, folklore, beauty and little known.
In this year of work, away from my affections and intent on pursuing my dream, I have felt the strong bond that unites me to it, my belonging to those colors, scents, flavors that I do not find anywhere else.
These are the characteristics that I wanted to instill in the products, inserting as a “common thread” the fig, a fruit that encompasses an entire world, which in my memory recalls long lunches by the sea, the pleasure of food, the vivid and intense colors that dazzle the eyes.
Hence the choice to combine it with products with a “massive” structure, seemingly rough and contrasting, which acquire, thanks to the superimposition of the fig’s volatile internal texture, a totally new sensuality and appearance, a perfect combination of today’s fashion sophistication and tradition.
The collection consists of shoes and bags, joined by an unprecedented accessory: an Obi belt, a tribute to country women and their aprons.
