Eyes wide open
Ispirandomi all’essenza di un’illusione ottica, ho voluto dare vita a una realtà che forse esiste in un’altra dimensione, in una sorta di introspezione. Inizialmente ispirato dalla “testa” e dall'”occhio” come simboli, ho sperimentato varie forme fino a un caldo pomeriggio in cui ho avuto una conversazione con i fiori a pranzo. Ispirata dal fatto che quasi tutti gli esseri umani si sentono connessi alla natura, ma siamo sempre noi a guardarla e siamo quasi ciechi di fronte al fatto che essa ci guardi a sua volta, questa collezione è una conversazione tra l’uomo e la natura, noi come esseri umani che guardiamo la natura che ci guarda.
Inspired by the essence of an optical illusion, I wanted to bring to life a reality that perhaps exists in another dimension in a sort of introspective way. Initially inspired by ‘the head’ as well as ‘the eye’ as symbols, I experimented with various forms until a hot afternoon when I had a conversation with flowers at lunch. Inspired by the fact that almost every human feels connected to nature but it is always us watching it and we are almost blind to it watching us back, this collection is a conversation between man and nature, us as humans watching nature watching us.
