Una celebrazione della queerness e dell’espressione di sé per i diseredati, questa collezione reimmagina i Club Kids mentre spostano il loro famigerato party al Limelight alla Città Proibita di Pechino. Sullo sfondo decadente della Cina imperiale, Leigh Bowery, Michael Alig e Co. si ritrovano sulla pista da ballo in trance psichedelica con Wanrong, l’ultima imperatrice della Cina (che nella vita reale è morta per overdose di eroina).
Si preannuncia la festa del secolo.

Bold, outrageous and unapologetically themselves, the Club Kids ruled NYC and London Nightlife. A celebration of queerness and self-expression for the disenfranchised, this collection reimagines the Club Kids moving their infamous party at the Limelight to the Forbidden City in Beijing. Set against the decadent background of imperial China; Leigh Bowery, Michael Alig and Co. are on the dance floor in a psychedelic trance with Wanrong, the last Empress of China (who in real life, died from heroin overdose).
This is set to be the party of the Century.
