La collezione si ispira al romanzo di fantascienza “Indietro nel Tempo” Di Jack Finney, in cui il protagonista intraprende un viaggio temporale tra il 1882 e il 1970 a New York, decidendo infine di rimanere nel passato insieme alla sua amata. Da questa idea nasce la contaminazione di due stili ed epoche lontane fra loro, che trovano il loro punto d’incontro nel mix dei tagli sartoriali di fine Ottocento con dettagli dello street-style degli anni ’70 del Novecento. Per quanto riguarda le applicazioni e le stampe i disegni provengono dalle illustrazioni del libro “Forme artistiche della natura” dell’artista biologo Ernst Haeckel, che rappresentano conchiglie. Un elemento naturale invariato nel tempo formato da forme sinuose e spigolose allo stesso tempo come i volumi asimmetrici e gonfi ispirati alle opere dell’artista Christo dedicate al movimento del tessuto attorno al corpo femminile.

The collection is inspired by Jack Finney’s science fiction novel “Time and Again”, in which the protagonist embarks on a time travel between 1882 and 1970 in New York, eventually deciding to stay in the past together with his loved one. From this idea comes the contamination of two styles and eras distant from each other, that meet one another in between the tailoring cuts of the late nineteenth century with details from the street-style of the 70s. As for applications and prints, the drawings stem from the illustrations in the book “Art Forms in Nature” by the biologist-artist Ernst Haeckel, which represent shells. A natural element unchanged over time formed by sinuous and pointy shapes at the same time as the asymmetrical and puffy volumes inspired by the works of the artist Christo dedicated to the movement of the fabric around the female body.
