Ana Karen Garza Ramirez, nata in Messico, si è laureata in Fashion and Textile Design presso l’Università di Monterrey, dove ha ricevuto il Distinguished Student Award per due anni consecutivi. Ha frequentato la Parsons School of Design di New York e si è laureata con lode all’Universidad Centro de Diseño a Città del Messico nel 2016. Ha vinto il concorso promosso da Tavex, aggiudicandosi uno stage come editor assistant presso Sarah Gore Reevers a New York. Nel 2015 ha studiato maglieria alla Central Saint Martins. La sua collezione di laurea “Inamovible” è stata selezionata per la Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico ed è apparsa su Elle e Grazie Mexico. Nel 2017 ha lavorato come junior designer per Yakampot e come designer freelance di maglieria. Durante CKD Master è stata selezionata per gli industry project Max Mara Leisure e Missoni presentati, insieme al suo final work, in sfilata a Pitti Filati 86.

 

Ana Karen Garza Ramirez, born in Mexico, graduated in Fashion and Textile Design at the Universidad de Monterrey where she received the Distinguished Student Award for two consecutive years. She studied at Parsons School of Design in NYC and graduated at Universidad Centro de Diseño in Mexico City, where she graduated with honors in 2016. She won a competition sponsored by Tavex and interned as assistant for fashion editor Sarah Gore Reeves in NYC. In 2015 she studied knitwear at Central Saint Martins. Her graduate collection ‘Inamovible’ was selected to be showcased during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico and appeared in editorials like Elle and Grazia Mexico. During 2017 she simultaneously worked as a junior designer at the Mexican fashion brand Yakampot and as a freelance knitwear designer. During her experience at CKD Master, she won the Max Mara Leisure industry project and the Missoni industry project showcased, together with her final work, during the fashion-show at Pitti Filati.
