Bunraku (文楽) è il teatro Giapponese con la manipolazione dei burattini, avvenuta il XVI secolo a Osaka. Le forme sono ispirate dai burattini e loro maestri. La scelta di tessuti è influenzata dall’arte di Shuo Sugi Ban (焼杉板), la tintura del legno.
