MY KIND OF BEAUTY è una collezione che parte da un soggetto singolo ma parla a tutti con l’idea di raccontare la battaglia interna ed esterna della fase di crescita di una donna. È l’insieme di elementi dissonanti che coesistono armonicamente: dai metalli e dal nero vinilico ispirato al grunge anni ’90 per simboleggiare la durezza di questa fase della vita ai volumi esagerati e leggeri tipicamente femminili creati dal tulle e dall’organza. I fiori catturati in uno scatto o intrappolati nel tessuto poco prima di appassire vengono bloccati nel tempo per raccontare la paura di crescere. La stampa con gli occhi rappresenta gli sguardi e i giudizi altrui ma anche l’occhio proprio che guardandosi dentro riesce a tirar fuori la parte più vera di sé.

MY KIND OF BEAUTY is a collections which moves from a single subject but it is addressed to everybody with the aim to tell about the internal and external fight during the growing age of a woman. Is it a whole of dissonant elements coexisting in harmony: from steel and vinyl black ispired by the grunge of the '90s to symbolize the hardness of this time of life to the very femminine, exaggerated and light volumes of tulle and organza. Flowers are captured in a shot or trapped in the fabric just an instant before withering, they are locked in a moment of time to express the fear of growing older. The print with the eyes represents the judgment and the look of the others on us but at the same time it is our inner eye that looking inside us manages to bring out our truest self.
