Per spiegare il concetto buddista dei “dieci mondi”, viene usata una metafora di Gustav Mahler: è come se ci si trovasse a guardare una finestra illuminata dal punto più lontano possibile, nel buio. Le forme, i colori e i movimenti non sono leggibili dall’osservatore: la sua percezione è distorta (mondo di inferno, la peggiore condizione in cui ci si possa trovare). Mano a mano che ci si avvicina alla finestra, però, ciò che accade al suo interno diventa più chiaro, fino a che si entra all’interno della stanza. A quel punto la percezione di ciò che accade all’interno della stanza è nitida e reale (mondo di Buddità, il più alto di tutti).

Questo concetto viene interpretato nella collezione con ampi cappotti neri, laserati a forma di composizioni di finestre, che lasciano intravedere una storia al suo interno: quella dell’icona degli anni ‘90 – nonché pioniera del buddismo di Nichiren Daishonin – Courtney Love. I colori, accesi e a contrasto, mirano a ricreare la sala da ballo e la gioia che trasmette, insieme alla positività legata al buddismo.

A metaphor by Gustav Mahler had been used to explain the buddhist concept of the ten worlds's like finding yourself looking at a lighted window, from the farthest point possibile, in the dark. Shapes, colors and movement are not understandable by the observer: his perception is distorted (world of hell, the worst condition of the human being). The more you get closer to the window, anyway, what happens inside of it gets more clear, until you properly enter the room. At that point the perception of what is happening inside of the room is crystal clear (world of buddhahood, the highest possible). This concept is translated in a collection of large black coat, laser cut in windows composition shapes which let the observer glimpse at a story on the inside: the '90s icon - and pioneer of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism - Courtney Love. The colors, bold and contrasting, have the aim of recreate the ball room and the joy that conveys, together with the positivity linked to the buddhism.
